As per a recent study, scientists have identified the role of the central part of the brain in controlling attention. The role of the outer covering of the brain tissue, cerebral cortex, is well known in determining the cognitive ability and broad attention. The scientists are now trying to understand the role of the middle part of the brain in meditation. As meditation helps to focus and process relevant information, a detailed understanding of how it controls the mind will help to treat attention disorders.
