Exercise: Looking beyond weight loss

The idea of working out is most often associated with dramatic and instant weight reduction. Physical activity, however, can have more long-term benefits. A study in Canada found significant reduction in heart diseases and mortality with even moderate exercise of 30 minutes 5 days a week. The WHO recommendation is moderate aerobic activity for almost 150 minutes a week. So, stop looking at the weighing scale every morning and just make exercise a lifestyle.
