Erratic night shifts linked to Type 2 diabetes

If you work shifts that fluctuate between day and night, you maybe 44 percent more likely to have Type 2 diabetes than those who never work nights. A study published in the journal Diabetes Care noted that the chances of having the disease increase with the number of nights worked. It may not be possible to avoid night shifts at work, but maintaining a healthy weight, good diet, and getting enough exercise and sleep can help.
