Study finds pre-diabetic women with vitamin D deficiency may have higher blood glucose

A study conducted on women categorized as pre-diabetic has found that the level of blood glucose is significantly higher in women who also had vitamin D deficiency. The study looked at almost 800 women in the age group 20-60. Members of the research team at AIIMS said that more studies were required to establish whether an increase in their vitamin D levels could decrease the levels of blood glucose in women.
