Steps are needed to protect children, adolescents, and adults with cardiovascular or other medical conditions from consuming energy drinks! A statement released by The American College of Sports Medicine said that energy drinks have excessive levels of caffeine that can adversely affect cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, renal and endocrine systems, and also impact mental health. Do not use energy drinks before/during/after strenuous exercise and remember that these drinks are not intended for children.
